⚡Students-in-class page performance (rti studentsinclasses.asp)
What it is
The students-in-class page times out on large classes. In February someone needed to add 1,001 placeholders and the page stopped after about 600; a 7,200-second script timeout was added as a band-aid and the page now takes four minutes. The cause is the page re-querying the database for every student for values that are the same for the whole class.
What's happening
Ready for Development with no lead, no assignees, and both development issues in backlog. The planning item (inventory the queries, measure a baseline, choose the rewrite approach) is also unassigned. Nothing happens until someone owns it.
